On October 8, Yan Shengjun, Chairman of CNTY, and his delegation visited Tang Peihong, Deputy Secretary of Jiuquan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Jiuquan, and Wang Haiming, Chairman of Jiuquan CPPCC. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the full use of the local wind and solar resources in Jiuquan and Jinta and the development of gravity energy storage.

Mayor Tang Peihong introduced the economic and social development of Jiuquan. Jiuquan has excellent political ecology, solid industrial foundation and first-class business environment. He hoped that CNTY could accelerate the progress of the project, and carry out in-depth co-operation with Jiuquan in the field of new energy, so as to realise mutual benefits and win-win situation. At the same time, the local government should proactively serve the enterprise by setting up a special team to help finalise the project as early as possible.

Chairman Yan expressed his gratitude to Jiuquan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for the strong support given to CNTY, and proposed that CNTY would take the initiative to integrate into the construction of Jiuquan's new energy base, give full play to its technological and talent advantages, and attract more high-quality resources to Jiuquan, so as to contribute to promoting the development of the local economy and society.

On October 9, the groundbreaking ceremony of the first phase of CNTY Jinta 50MW/200MWh Gravity Energy Storage Project and supporting industrial projects was held in Jinta County, Jiuquan.

Li Jiongfang, Party Secretary of Jinta, pointed out in the opening speech, that CNTY’s gravity energy storage project was another fruitful result achieved by the local new energy industry, and it would serve as a strong impetus for Jinta to build a new energy industry base and promote giant leaps for local economy. He encouraged departments at all levels should strengthen coordination and cooperation with CNTY, ensuring a smooth implementation of the project.

Chairman Yan expressed his heartfelt thanks to Jiuquan and Jinta for the trust and support given to CNTY. He said that Jinta County, with its rich cultural deposits, unique resource endowment and superior business environment, is a hot spot for investment and business development, and that this project is the company's important strategic layout in Northwest China. Upholding the value of “true success lies in win-win cooperation”, CNTY would tap into technological and industrial strengths to take root in Jinta and help Jinta build a major new energy industrial base while contributing to the high-quality development of the county.
